Join us for the first
General Meeting of the New Year. It will be full of surprises! Allison will fill us in on the next steps to rigid heddle
weaving with demonstrations and wonderful examples of what you can do with that little loom of possibilities and also Show
and Tell and guild updates. See you there!
Beautiful lace is an exquisite finishing
touch to any garment or it can be the entire garment but can you imagine creating that lace by hand. Our own Susan E.
will do a wonderful presentation on the historical background of lace, the tools used for lace and the types of lace made
by using bobbins. You can also make a sampler with very basic tools to take home. However, you must contact Susan
to preorder a Lace Kit. You must be a member to participate. Susan included this poem with her description of

Or would sit making lace in the bow:
had often (the Bellman said)saved them from wreck,
Though none of
the sailors knew how"
From "The Hunting of the Snark"
by Lewis Carroll
