Basketry Study Group
The Basketry Study Group welcomes members ranging from beginners to professionals; we teach each other what we’ve learned. This includes making cordage, pine-needle baskets, and coiled baskets, as well as foraging for basketry materials. Future meetings will cover twined basketry, dyeing basketry materials, and whatever else we dream up as our skills expand. We also meet to share our past creations and our works-in-progress.
We’ve been meeting approximately monthly on Saturdays at 1:00pm since May of 2024; you may attend a meeting, then must join Carmel Crafts Guild to become a Basketry Study Group member.
