Our study groups are an integral part of our guild and are free to members. This is where we learn together.
Currently, we offer study groups in:

Basketry
Read more: BasketryThe Basketry Study Group welcomes members ranging from beginners to professionals; we teach each other what we’ve learned. This includes making cordage, pine-needle baskets, and coiled baskets, as well as foraging for basketry materials.

Nalbinding
Read more: NalbindingJoin us each week on Mondays from 1:30–3:30 PM at Stephanie C’s house. We’ll work on various nalbinding techniques and stitches, and learn more about the history of this ancient craft.

Small Looms
Read more: Small LoomsThe Small Looms Group is currently meeting Mondays 10:00-12:00, at the Carmel Public Library (Lincoln & 6th). Members gather to learn, demonstrate and collaborate on all types of small, portable looms.

Spinning
Read more: SpinningThis is an informal group that will meet at various member’s homes every Wednesday from 10:00-Noon. All levels of spinners are welcome. Current study is individually self-guided.

Tatting
Read more: TattingPlease join us and be prepared to learn the elements of tatting that will produce beautiful lace shapes perfect for jewelry, clothing and edging on your handwoven and handsewn items. Members use both needle and shuttle to tat.

Weaving Structure
Read more: Weaving StructureThe Weaving Structure Study group meets monthly on the 1st Saturday. The group meets at member’s homes from 10:00 a.m. to Noon to discuss weaving projects.
